Corbeau Seats

About Corbeau

Corbeau was founded by a man named Colin Folwell.  The entire name of the company is Corbeau Seats LTD. It is a company based in St. Leonards-on-Sea in the UK.  Their founder Colin was actually the inventor of bucket seats.  After he invented the bucket seat, he then started Corbeau.  (Side note: Corbeau is French for Raven) The reason Colin invented the bucket seat was because he was actually a race car driver and he was unable to find a seat that was safe, comfortable and provided support on the sides when making high speed turns.  Since he couldn’t find what he wanted he made it.  Other drivers began coming to him to make them seats like his and voila!  Corbeau was born in 1963.  Since then they have continued with the innovation that started the company and have branched out with other types of seats, harnesses and restraints and even office chairs.

Fixed Back Seats

These fall under the category of bucket seats and they come in a wide variety of styles and colors.  You can even get them with half backs or whole backs!  The Rhino version is a sort of half back for example.  These seats can be used with regular restraints or with a 5 point harness system.

Suspension Seats

These are seats for off road enthusiasts.  Some of them are reclining seats and some are even bench seats.  Like the fixed back seats there is a huge list of styles and colors that they are available in.  They are bolt in seats and easily installed.

Reclining Seats

Corbeau reclining seats are for the discerning off road enthusiasts who want both comfort and style.  There are 10 different styles to choose from.  Some of them have head rests some do not.  They are available in many different colors too.

Bench Seats

Corbeau bench seats come in 4 styles.  There is the Safari, 40 inch Baja, 36 inch Baja and the 42 inch Baja.  You can get them in various colors and with a vinyl, vinyl/cloth or neoprene upholstery.

Rhino Seats

Rhino seats are in 2 styles: RXP Rhino and the 42 inch Baja bench.  They have available seat covers and are a very popular style choice for Jeep owners.  The RXP Rhino is actually a suspension seat.  Rhino seats are available in either vinyl or a vinyl/cloth combination.  They are an easy install too as you simply bolt them in.
