Corbeau FX1 Pro

History

Corbeau has a reputation for being the best racing seat maker in the world.  Why?  It is actually quite an interesting story.  Colin Folwell was a race car driver.  The year was 1963.  He was unhappy with the seat in his race car.  He thought that it was not safe enough or comfortable enough.  He also was of the opinion that it did not offer enough lateral protection for during those high speed turns.  Colin wasn’t one to rest on his laurels.  He went to his workshop and designed and built a new seat for his race car.  When other racers noticed it they asked him to make one for them.  The orders started pouring in for what became known as the very first bucket seat.  Colin went with the idea and the product and formed Corbeau.  Now almost 50 years later, he still runs the company that is now famous the world over.
